Joseph has devoted his scholarly career to the study of politics and governance in Africa with a special focus on democratic transitions, state building and state collapse, and conflict resolution.

Alison is a third year Political Science student and Brady Scholar at Northwestern currently studying at the University of Ghana. 

Ben is a third year Political Science and Computer Science student at Northwestern. He is involved with research on Ghana with Prof. Joseph and outside work on Kenya.
